Luggage Storage Near the Heraklion Airport Bus Stop

The late-afternoon and evening departure slots out of Heraklion Airport create the same problem for thousands of travellers every summer: you check out of your accommodation at 11am and your flight is not until nine at night. That is a full, good day in Crete, spent instead sitting on a suitcase.

Why the bus stop matters

We are about a minute on foot from the airport bus station in the centre of Heraklion, and the airport itself is roughly 6.5 km away. That proximity is the entire point: your bags are not a detour on the way to your flight, they are on the route.

The sequence that works best is simple. Check out, walk to us, leave everything, enjoy the city with empty hands, come back, collect, and walk to the bus. No taxi back across town, no returning to your hotel to beg for their luggage room.

Timing your collection

Two things to plan around, and both are easy if you think about them in advance:

• Check the current airport bus timetable on the day — schedules change by season and we do not want you relying on a number in a blog post
• Collect your bags well before we close: Monday to Friday 21:00, Saturday 20:00, Sunday 20:00
• If your pick-up falls on a Monday, Wednesday or Saturday after 15:00, or any time on Sunday, book in advance so someone is there
• Leave yourself a buffer for the bus journey and airport check-in — a stored suitcase is no help if you are sprinting

Arriving rather than leaving

It works just as well in reverse. If you land in the morning but cannot check in until the afternoon, take the bus into town, drop your bags a minute from the stop, and start your holiday several hours earlier than your room allows.

€3 per backpack, €4 per cabin or medium suitcase and €5 per large suitcase, per day, with 10% off when you book online. For a single day between checkout and a late flight, one large suitcase comes to €4.50.
